Torquay and Geelong

BBQ at Williamstown

A week off from ICU called for some action at W'town...

With a group of pharmacists and residents from the hospital eagerly rocking up for an afternoon of BBQ and soccer, Vu had a chance to show off his cooking skills. He instantly became a chic magnet. Look at all those gals lining up to have a bite of his delicious BBQ... Watch out Jamie Oliver! Vu's Sixteen is on the way to beat your Fifteen...
As Vu's fame grew, so did the crowd... He drew people from all directions...
With yummy salad as a starter and tantalising lamb shanks, prawns, kebabs, chicken wings and vegies on the menu, there was plenty of food for everyone...
But some people were just contented to be alcoholics! (It's ok Kevin... I will make sure no one knows about this...)
While some people got immersed in serious intellectual conversations...
And some people just lurrrrved to cook...
There was some special fellow called Andy who just liked to go around...
Plucking feathers off some innocent birds...
After some mischief around the BBQ pit, we headed off for a game of soccer, in which my team was totally outplayed and outwitted by 4 striker partnership of Andy (who kept claiming throw ins and corner kicks regardless of who kicked the ball out), Arthur (who kept sliding at people and tackling me from behind at every opportunity!), Nhi (who tried really hard to stretch herself to reach every throughball, yet, nehhh...), and Joyce (who would kick at anything in her way, even if it was her own teammate!). Vu, of course was the sole defender, goal keeper and play-maker from behind...
But the credit goes to JingBo (who was sooo solid at the defence), Kevin and Hogan (who kept trying in midfield with never say die attitude though we were dead) and Sira (who managed to create some trouble to Vu)... Well done team!
Anyhow, it's a shame we ended the day early... but it was great fun!
